Super Hike in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve

Instead of watching the opening festivities and commercials of the Super Bowl, my family and I went for a hike in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. It was only about an hour of hiking, but it was so much more rewarding than sitting in front of the evil box watching commercials interspersed with large men smashing into one another with great skill for enormous salaries. I felt a little out of it, when everyone at work this week was reviewing and discussing in depth the artful and intriguing advertisements with high production values they watched during the first half. We "missed" all of them. On the other hand, we got to see all this.

We've been this way before. Will certainly go again. One more thing I love about Phoenix, these mountain parks surrounded by city, these rocky trails.
