Last Ride of the 105

Since I have now replaced Yasuko's wheels, this is a photo of the last ride of the old front wheel, which for an unknown reason had a Shimano 105 hub. Probably that's what the owner had in the parts box when he felt like building a wheel. This photo interested me because the auto-focus in its questionable wisdom chose to focus on the axle nut of that hub, so it is sharp, while everything around it is out of focus or in motion. So thanks for the miles, 105 hub on a mountain bike wheel. Get up. Go ride.

  1. I can't help but feel a twinge of guilt when looking at an old part that served me well for so many miles.
I end up donating them to the local bike co-op so that they may be given another chance at a useful life.
