Phoenix Installs Protected Garbage Can Lanes

To overcome a rash of overtaking garbage can collisions, protected lanes have been added

Here let me fix that for you.

Photographic simulation for the sake of argument. If the first photo is OK, what's wrong with this one?

  1. Doesn't Arizona have a mandatory garbage can lane law?

    1. Steve, I got the following idea from the cans themselves, which have large letters that say DO NOT BLOCK on them with included legal references. Taking that approach, I am thinking of a shirt to wear while riding to work:

      TAXPAYING COMMUTER
      DO NOT BLOCK
DO NOT PASS CLOSER THAN 3 FEET
      DO NOT DOOR
      DO NOT HARASS
      DO NOT RIGHT HOOK

  2. Those cans are gonna get told to sit on the sidewalk by some ignorant cop.

    1. Which would be perfect, since there's no sidewalk on that side.

  3. Sorry, but I'm only seeing bar codes and the boys crossing Abbey Road.
