Although I once had heavenly Peking duck (at a Tianjin kaoya dian), and once cooked a very good version with 40 cloves of garlic, I tend to not seek out duck to eat, for some reason.
I always liked the duck decoys, and the intricately carved wooden duck models, more than the stuffed ones. Of course, in terms of photogenicness and coolness, ducks can't hold a candle to loons. If it was allowed, I would decorate the house with beautiful carved loons. But alas, not allowed.

DeleteHave you ever really looked at a Muscovy Duck crossing a road a block from the water? I'm not sure I would choose any of the same captions...
