Tempe Town Lake Dam Bridge: Span's Up!

Perfect timing (maybe)

Lake view of the two spans

If this were 3D that crane would be comin' atcha!

It looks like two done, two to go

They picked up and perched two of the spans of the soon-to-be-excellent bike-ped bridge across the dam at Tempe Town Lake. Go bridge constructors, go! Is looking good, no? Is perhaps the start of a Valley-wide connected and coherent system of bike routes, yes? With clear signage and plentiful oasis stops, yes? I am a crazy dreamer, no? We should all Get up, Go ride, yes?

  1. Wow, that's going to be a long bridge.

  2. It's a very attractive bridge, unless they plan to paint it orange or something after it is done.

  3. Steve, white does make it gleam in the sunshine, and would be my color of choice as well. I think they plan on keeping it that color, based on the earlier mock-ups I saw. Although orange...hmmmm.

RTP I was thinking the same thing when I was trying to figure out how far away those cyclists were in the first picture.

    Trevor, thanks for the affirmation.
