Once Farm Wives Made Needlepoints of Lunar Landers

  1. Wow!
That reminds me so much of a bulletin board I had in my room as a wee tire.
I had models of the LEM and Command Module sitting around too.
I was a real space cadet back then.
Okay, I sort of still am.

  2. Does anyone else find it odd that the astronauts are holding hands while gazing at the Earth? Somehow, I missed that on the TV feeds.

  3. limom I too was /am a space cadet. I had a three foot tall model Saturn V with a separate command module and dockable LEM. Things like this still excite me:
    Apogee Rockets Model Saturn V.

Steve A those early TV feeds were so blurry that it was hard to see exactly what was going on. In my memory, though, the sky was darker than in the needlepoint, with less flag.
